What is the most talked about or recommended talent spec for a Sith Sorcerer?

posted this , edited by jpeg Dec 4 2011 6:40 PM

I know that there is a lot of talk about talent specs as of recent. Anyone have any recommended talent spec for an Inquisitor (Sorcerer)? If so, why is it the best?

Do check out the guides available in R2-DB site guides section.

I believe you can use the Jedi Consular guide made by Mikeyboii as the Jedi Consular and Jedi Inquisitor is a mirrored class

If you are going to be healing then I personally enjoy the 31/5/5 spec

Any chance you want to embed the skill tree build? Not completely versioned in the Sorcerer Skill Trees.

That is going to depend entirely on your play style and desired role. Want to be a healer, or damage dealer, or a combination?

I had just realized that I had forgotten to specify... I'm looking at the corruption tree. I'm focusing on healing.

i'm going madness or healing for leveling and pvp, but kinda want to do lightning for endgame. it really depends on play style for talents U want.

As of right now, I'd say it's unsure at best. I know that may not sound helpful, but some of the talents may not be finalized until release. I am sure there will be many guides up for what people think the best of the best is within a few weeks of launch.

The Sorcerer has 3 available talent trees. Lightning, Corruption, and Madness. Corruption is a healing tree. If you want to heal, that's the one. Lightning is a ranged DPS tree and Madness is the shared DPS tree between both advanced classes. You can make a viable DPS character with either of those trees. It depends on play style. Lightning is a burst damage tree while Madness focuses on drains and DOTs.

"like you could do any better" I am so sick to death of henriag this kind of comment. That's like me buying a used car that turns out to be a lemon and you criticizing my complaints just because I couldn't "build a better car".

We have to see first if it's allowed to dsirtibute a movie from the main franchise on another studio. I know that Warner took care of The Clone Wars, but I guess that Star Wars is supposed to be on Fox, as Indiana Jones is Paramount: the st......

What's interesting is that slight nuances in playstyle will mean different specs. For instance, I play a 5/31/5 spec for my Sniper, but my friend likes to focus a bit more on Alacrity instead of a boost to Cunning, so he has a different 5/31/5 spec.

I would say play at least the first 10 levels of your class, learn the basic feel of it, then play around with the various skill tools online.

Depends on your play style that you prefer. I tested 2 templates the healer and madness. The dmg output I was dealing with madness was crazy. I could dot stun and run and use light heals. I could easily kill the average pvp'er the more advanced gave me issues and people seeing me as a sorcerer in battle would usually leave me be.

As a healer was great I Could set it up and tank going mainly the healing tree with some madness madness spec'd in (i love the dots). With this I could easily dish out 95k+ in heals no trouble at all. Would throw out around 40-50k dmg and maybe get a kill. My heals were powerful enough to keep some players alive that were in a 1v2 scenario.

As for pve I was primarily healer and let my tank companion do the dmg while I kept him alive pretty much solo'd everything upto level 22.

This is going to be a very difficult question to answer. The reason is that BioWare's class and even spec design caters to play style. That means there will be more than one spec that is evenly comparable, but depending on play style and player skill.

Especially since much of the endgame gear is modifiable so that you can customize your stats to enhance your chosen build.

While I'm not denying that there may be cookie-cutters, there will be several per role.

this seems like a good healing build

If you have a problem with survivability you could move some points around to Sith Defiance
