I keep reading more and more about various guilds that are going trooper-exclusive. Is this really going to be viable come end game?

Looking back at how MMORPGs have worked in the past it's usually beneficial to have a larger diversity in setup. However there have been raids/guilds like this in the past with for example, Druids and Paladins in World of Warcraft that worked. maybe not very competitive, but they cleared content.
There was a video interview I watched where they clearly stated things like this is possible but that there will be stacking buffs from different classes/AC that would greatly benefit you thus encouraging diversity.
Troopers and bounty hunters can cover all three roles of the trinity, so yes, they are viable. However, they would be hindering themselves quite a bit trying to do so. You will miss out on class specific buffs and abilities, particularly different types of heals, DoTs, and CCs. Some people might enjoy the extra challenge, though.
I know most people have said it, but technically yes but i say in realistically no because you really are gimping your raid by not bringing other buffs and utilities, and from my experience in other mmos most people only like these guilds at the start of their playing experience but once they learn the game they want a more diverse guild.
Depends on the definition of viable.
Are they capable of completing the content at the highest level? Yes, they certainly are. Troopers can fill all three roles themselves and it is a viable option, but there is a catch. Loot distribution.
All of the characters will be competing for the same loot. Heavy armor, aim and endurance stacking for most of the advanced classes, and you'll also be selling a lot of light and medium armor drops that would otherwise go to Smugglers and Jedi. Also the Guardian heavy armor robes would be mostly for show.
So, the answer is that you could do it, but your end game progression would be slower than more balanced guilds, but if RP or PVP is the main focus of rolling such a guild, then the speed of raiding progression might not be such a big deal to you.
My two cents.
I certainly think it's possible, seeing as Troopers alone can fill the "holy trinity" in combat roles: Healer, Tank and DPS. Whether or not an all-Trooper group or raid will function as well as another group or raid that contains Jedi and Smugglers as well... I'd say the answer to that will be based as much on opinion as well as the group's skill, teamwork and organization.
From what I've read in articles and interviews, each of SWTOR's classes can fill almost any role that is required, depending on which Advanced Class and Skill Tree the player chooses. As long as the classes are balanced well, then I see no reason why a Trooper-exclusive guild can't succeed as well as any other guild.

Marked it as a "Community Post" because there's no absolute answer and most answers will be opinionated ;)

If you want a more specific answer, I'd suggest refining your question. What do you mean by "viable"? If you mean, can you fill a raid with 16 Troopers while covering the tank, dps and heals requirement, then the answer is clearly yes. If you mean can you run a world first progression guild with only Troopers, the answer is probably no. How well you can raid will fall somewhere in between depending on your standards for "viable."
