With the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic just a few weeks away, Torhead and R2-DB have decided to join forces to help create the ultimate experience for SWTOR players. Both sites will become stronger thanks to this collaboration, each utilizing information and technology to strengthen their foundations. The goal will be to have a pair of sites that players can browse to get all their questions answered about SWTOR.
We at R2-Db aim to continue hosting community-driven content and building tools to help you communicate with your fellow gamers. This partnership will allow both sites to focus on our individual strengths and support the SWTOR community.
More information will come in the weeks and months to follow, but we hope you're all energized by the new goals and plans!

A bit unexpected but I have a feeling the combination is going to turn out really well.

I completely agree, it's an unexpected turn on our part too. One of the things that we took away from the Fansite Summit a few weeks ago was to "carve out your niche", which is exactly what we are doing. We are still the same R2-Db team, nothings changing, we still own the site, but you'll see some amazing tools from the combined might of R2-Db.com and Torhead.com.

Now please just change the paragraph font in your css to something that doesn't look so terribad.

Look at what a mess the right side of the page is, and the text of the news article. It looks like a condensed version of some font, and it just jumps out at me as hard to read because of the blurring and coloring on vertical bars.
Here is an enlarged example where you can see what I'm talking about...

Way to enhance the community as a whole! Great idea and look forward to seeing what you two can put out!

Makes sense. With both TORHead and Curse duking it out for the main database, an upstart site would likely get trampled. I'm glad R2-DB's not going to enter the fray and will carve its own niche instead. The site's name was too awesome to waste.

How does this partnership affect R2-DD's plans to enhance and update skill trees, improve tooltips, and build a database? Looking forward to hearing about the site's future plans!
