Crossfire success?

Has anyone been able to get 6xxx or 5xxx crossfire working with higher framerates than a single card so far?

I was wondering what frame rates people have been getting with Crossfire if they have been able to get it running. Specifically if those with 6870s or 5870s could weigh in.

While I realize the game runs completely smooth with most settings that are currently in game turned up to max with a 6870, for those of us that are turning on AA externally and using other graphics card features that aren't supported in ga......

Yes! I played the game with two crossfired MSI R6970 Twin Frozr III cards. The game ran like a dream, maxed out at 110fps in Dromund Kaas and 140+ in regular areas. Keep in mind that I was also hardwired by ethernet cable, which will make a difference.

Did you try it with crossfire turned off to see if the framerate was different? What resolution were you at? Did you turn on the driver controlled AA?

I was in a similar boat. Most of the time I was in the 80s to 90s without the prettifying stuff turned on, but seeing the difference I want to be able to keep all that on.

Well the in-game anti-aliasing should be much better optimized and cause less of a decrease in performance!

I'm Running Duel 5870's in crossfire running 11.11b and noticed some graphics artifacts, frame-rate was fine but some bugs were present. after Turing off Crossfire i had no artifacts anymore.

I've been an ATI/AMD man for a while now at least 5 years but with all the issues the drivers have coming from the 10.xx and 11.xx series i think i will go with Nvidia for my next setup...

I can tell you that with one Nvidia 560Ti I was able to max out everything and never drop below 25 FPS even in the most complex areas.

This game was specifically designed to have lower graphics requirements than many modern games. You shouldn't need crossfire to get high framerates. I got at least 20-30 fps with my single GTX 260. If you have crossfire, that's awesome. Especially if you play lots of new games with super high requirements. However, I wouldn't advise buying a second GPU just to play this game.
