Which races need some love?

From personal experience I was wondering what the least represented races for each faction were! It would be nice to play the underdog!

Well I guess Humans would be most common choice, perhaps Twi'lek after them. Remember that some races - like Sith Pureblood or Chiss are class locked, so your choice won't be only limited by faction, but also by class you want to play.

Races really don't matter in this game apart from appearance.

If you mean which faction, then technically it's Republic, but you certainly won't be an "underdog" on any server. All of them will be well-populated, with hundreds or thousands of players per side. You're just talking about, say, 800 vs 950. You're not going to really notice the difference in number.

Races do matter in terms of interactions with NPCs: Having played a Rattataki in the beta, I had to endure the comments of Humans about how I was, as an alien, an inferior being...

(felt good to be able to make them swallow their words...with a blaster !)
