Companion influence

In TOR, will you be able to influence your companion character's alignment, as you were KOTOR 2? Or will it be more similar to the Dragon Age type of companion system, where you have more of an affection based system but dont actually influence their moral standing?

The companion system is much more like the Dragon Age system. You cannot influence your companions' moral alignments.

You can raise and lower a companion's affection to you, but I don't believe you can modify their DS/LS alignment. In fact when I was playing as a Sith Warrior, my companion Vette seemed to lower her affection when I chose Dark Side options, but her personal alignment never changed.

I think so yes. When you are a sith warrior and you first get the companion Vette, you are told repeatedly that she is a wretched creature (sith for a good person), but that you can remake her in your image. Probably through repeated shock collar usage. I don't know about making a bad companion good though.

You can Influence it with gifts for your companion if you choose the right gift for the right companion the alignment rises but dont try to give some golden neklace to khem val he didnt like it :D
